People signed up for your community and follow your blog and if they have the widget downloaded on your page, others benefit from it. Johncow has the widget on his page and if you are a recent visitor, sometimes people click on it and you get traffic that way. Also people browse mybloglog and you get traffic that way. Especially the top blogs.
