Have you heard of "Pixel Advertising" or "Micro Ads" ? Is it a fad or wave of the future ? The concept is still so new that there is little to determine if the fever will subside or continue to grow and prosper. Regardless of status, the dollar for dollar value of the medium is compelling and deserves further investigating.

The Mathematics of Click Campaigns
Those familiar with PPC campaigns understand that keyword bidding generally runs .10 per click. Some of those clicks could be from competitors and grudge clickers who know you lose a dime every time they click, which
costs you more money than you think in the long run. On an average day, if a PPC campaign receives 50 clicks, it will cost $5 for those 50 clicks. Over 1 year, to sustain the click thru rate of 50 clicks per day would cost $1825. Just 10 clicks a day would cost you $365 per year, 1 click per day would cost you $36.50 per year.

That's what you 'minimally' pay in a PPC campaign; $36.50 per year, for 1 click per day.

Catch my drift, a $25 ad on BigPixels.com or on any other pixel advertising site, even if it generates only 1 click per day costs you less than a 1 click per day over a year from any PPC. But, with BigPixels.com you don't get 1 year, you get 5 years. Plus you
get a backlink which is important to your Google Page Rank and any Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy.

Remember - One click per day from any PPC progam will cost you $36.50 per year.

I'd say PPC is probably more targeted. So in the long run you probably would make money from interested visitors.

I hate the pixel idea. Once its full it's like someone threw up ads on my screen. Nasty.

Pixel ads is a great business plan, but makes for a horrible website IMO.

There's only one site where it's acceptable to see this kind of ads and it's on the milliondollarhomepage. Rest is only concept stolen website. Pixel ads aren't a way to advertise, it's only a good idea to make some money (but only works for one person, though there's many website similar to it...)
