I've found that posting comments on http://www.digg.com yields quite a bit of traffic. The people who go to digg.com are compulsive clickers and will hit a link just because it looks interesting. As long as your comment is relevent to the dugg topic you'll avoid being flamed.

Oh yeah - that is an interesting idea - I had not thought about that. Hmmmm... On a seperate thought -> I have to check to see if they have no-follow tags on the links. But the traffic aspect is certainly a good idea.

So you are suggesting adding a good comment to get traffic like you would in a blog?

Only don't expect revenue. Digg and Shoutwire people are mostly techie guys who aren't going to click on ads.

I had this proved myself with Shoutwire, but can't say 100% for Digg.

Darren over at problogger.net says that Digg traffic is not good for ppc! i would have to agree, the people reading are not the shopping type.

Digg traffic isn't worthy. I'd rather get Shoutwire(d) since you get a look more back links (torrentspy for example) and you don't get the nasty digg or slashdot effect, but still get the amount of traffic.

sure as long as you don't spam it or try and scam and create many acocunts to digg your own article.

It's still traffic though and it can build up natural links to people who might even click your ads!
