I've started using Google Analytics (https://www.google.com/analytics/home/) (urchin) and it's pretty good. You can't get down to the detail but that's good really, stops me wasting time fretting about referral spam ;)

Don't forget http://www.sitemeter.com I use the paid service which allows more indepth tracking, but the gratest feature is to filter out hits from particular IP addresses and web browsers. This allows me to modify the site template without skewing the hits!

I use a paid service -> http://www.opentracker.net/ - they are okay, but I plan on trying Google Analytics and decide if I need to keep paying a monthly fee.

the above mentioned links usually represent 2 separate services: uptime monitoring (availability - uptime/downtime, responsiveness) or traffic monitoring (traffic, visitor tracking and stats).
mon.itor.us (http://mon.itor.us) combines these two services into one! So you don't need to register yourself and visit all the times 2 sites for getting an overall view of your website. And it is FREE!
However the service is still in beta version, it doesn't offer all the features as the above mentioned, BUT soon there will be a radical change and it will overcome all the little competitors. Just check it, it's simple and free:-)

i rely more on google analytics and stat counter because out of 100% it is 75% accurate from actual searches and clicks
